The campus of AUC is located in central Cairo next to the underground station of the two main metro lines. The main campus is a whole city block, and there are two adjacent complexes, each about a half of a block. Access is controlled through several gates in each complex, making for a relatively quiet enclave in the midst of the noisy and crowded urban surroundings. The School of Engineering, including the Computer Science Department, is located in the new Falaki Academic Center, an eight story complex a block from the main campus.
